SNI certification
Introduction
The Indonesian government implemented National Standard Certification (SNI) for related products from September 7, 2007, stipulating that all controlled products must pass the national standard certification before they can be sold in Indonesia. The Indonesian National Standards (SNI) are the only standards applicable domestically in Indonesia. SNI standards are developed by technical committees and defined by the Indonesian National Standards Agency. The SNI Product Certification Program is a nationwide product certification system in Indonesia. After a product is certified under this program, the manufacturer will obtain a license to use the SNI logo. For Chinese export-oriented enterprises, if they want to sell their products to the Indonesian market, the corresponding controlled products must pass the Indonesian SNI certification and be labeled with SNI before entering their domestic market.
SNI product certification is authorized by the Indonesian National Accreditation Service (KAN) to evaluate and test manufacturers, importers, and products. Only those who meet Indonesian regulatory requirements can obtain SNI certificates;
The current regulated products of Indonesian automotive parts SNI include tires, wheels, safety glass, helmets, brake pads, lubricants, batteries, rearview mirrors, etc.
